Ram Gopal Varma denies resemblance of his film Officer with Hollywood movie Taken
Officer marks the fourth association between director Ram Gopal Varma and superstar Nagarjuna.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is quite psyched up about his upcoming film Officer which gives him a chance to collaborate with superstar Nagarjuna for the fourth time. The film has been shot and is in the post-production stage at the moment. But before the makers release any property related to the film (except the first motion poster which came out recently), Varma has been bombarded with accusations of his film being a rip off of Hollywood film Taken.
The film Taken revolves around a CIA officer who starts a mission to trace out his daughter who gets kidnapped by sex traffickers. Ram Gopal Varma has denied all allegations of copying, though. He has clarified that there is no resemblance between Taken and his intense cop drama Officer. Whether there is any similarity between both the film or not, the audience will come to know only after the release of the film.
Produced by RGV under his Company, Officer is slated for a grand release on 25th May.
