Rekha to be honoured with Yash Chopra Memorial Award

In recognition to the talent and contribution to the film industry, the veteran actress Rekha will be honoured with the prestigious Yash Chopra Memorial Award. TRS Foundation of T Subbarami Reddy instituted the award in the memory of the director-producer Yash Chopra , who breathed his last in 2012. A distinguished senior film personality is annually honoured by this foundation for valuable contribution to the film industry in the form of a Gold Medal and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.
Rekha 's name was declared for this award by the jury comprising of Jaya Prada , Hema Malini , Simi Garewal , Pam Chopra, Boney Kapoor and Reddy. The 61-year old Rekha will honoured with Yash Chopra Memorial Award on February 2, 2016 by the Governor of Maharashtra in a glitzy event in Mumbai. This eminent personas awarded with this honour in the past include Lata Mangeshkar and Amitabh Bachchan .
