Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi starring Bank Chor will be renamed to a decent title, as per CBFC guidelines!

Comedy is one genre of art that can easily be a subjected to scrutiny these days and comedy films are more likely to be targeted to controversy. And this time, filmmakers of Bank Chor are under the radar of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and this time the heat turned up more on Y-Films . Apparently, CBFC thought the title of the film Bank Chor is more obviously reminiscent of the Hindi cuss word. And also requested, in usual CBFS style, to re-dub every mentioned word in the film and trailer and redone with a decent word.

CBFC further mentioned, “The makers of Bank Chor thought they were being very clever by calling their film by a title that sounds like ‘behen c@#.’ They thought every time Riteish Deshmukh and the other actors said ‘Bank Chor’ the audience would roar in delight by the similarity to the sisterly abuse.”

It is also commendable that even CBFC also admitted and said, “We were sorry to play the spoilsport. But this was a most uncalled-for and recurring obscenity in the film. We asked them to clean it out.”

Of course, the whole filmmaking team of Bank Chor is in a panic attack as the film will be in the theater on 16th June and it might take one more week to re-do all the mess. The film stars Riteish Deshmukh , Vivek Oberoi , Rhea Chakraborty, Sahil Vaid and directed by Bumpy . Although it would be interesting to see how team Bank Chor would respond to it and what actions they take.
