Bollywood has a hit or miss history with sequels, whereas many sequels being planned to cash in the success of previous films and some to carry forward the character line. Continuing the saga of raunchy, wacky characters of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, one of the makers Raju Chadha , recently announced the 3rd film in this franchise. And as for every film, where movie’s villain is the highlight, this time they signed Sanjay Dutt to play the antagonist character!
The Saheb Biwi and Gangster, as suspense drama holds significant importance too many people associated with this series, other than an opportunity to cash-in at box-office counter. Talented director Tigmanshu Dhulia , of lately been busy being an actor in recent films like Hero, Manjhi-the mountain man, and Shahid. And his last outing as a director was ‘Bullet Raja’ bombed at the box office. Hence, he might also look for an opportunity to bounce back. Besides Tigmanshu, Sanjay Dutt, who recently finished shooting for ‘Bhoomi’ would also be in need for a super-hit, if he wished to regain his status on box office.
There isn’t any news on whether casting for the lead remains same or changes for good. But it seems Tigmanshu is taking all measures to make it perfect as he is not only producing and directing this film, he is also writing storyline along with Sanjay Chouhan.
