Life has never been easy to Sanjay Dutt . He got sunk into his own bad luck, but battling with his poor destiny, he has accepted his crooked life in a positive way. Instead of getting lost in grievance, he has sportingly accepted his imprisonment term and will be seen making his live performance theater debut, today at Balgandharva Rangmandir, Pune.
The two hour long, fund raising show performed by the prisoners, will comprise entertainment items, folk songs and few skits organized by the Maharashtra Prison authorities. Where Dutt will enact in two skits - in one, he will depict his renowned character, Munnabhai and in the other, he will be seen playing a common man suffering from 26/11 terror attack. Also, he will be performing on various dance numbers like "Lungi Dance".
Munnabhai skit will showcase the lack of civic sense in people and how the society possesses no qualms over ill practices like gambling and drinking in front of Mahatma Gandhiji's statue. At the end of the play, Sanjay will recite few dialogues from his social-drama based film, ' Lage Raho Munnabhai '.
The other skit is also the peculiar one, in which Dutt's performance of terror victim brought tears in filmmaker Raju Hirani 's eyes, who saw him rehearsing at Yerawada Jail.
The show will be anchored by Pune based filmmaker Rahul Solapurkar , who had also guided the jail inmates improvising their scripts and performances, where the original rough drafts were scripted by jail inmates, themselves.
Here, we end with a note that everyone deserves a second chance for the betterment!
