Sanya Malhotra bags her third film and it is to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj!
Made her debut with Dangal, Sanya is currently shooting Badhaai Ho and she will be next seen in a Vishal Bhardwaj’s film, Churiyan.

In 2016, Sanya Malhotra made her acting debut with Aamir Khan ’s Dangal and we all know what wonders the film did. Though she shared the big screen with Fatima Sana Shaikh , filmmakers from the industry noticed her acting skills and poured multiple movie projects on her. Soon after Dangal , she signed Badhaai Ho , opposite Ayushmann Khurrana and now, she has bagged her third film. Sanya, who is just a film old in the industry, have been approached by stalwart, Vishal Bhardwaj , for one of his upcoming film, Churiyan.
A source told a leading daily, “Vishal was in talks with a few actresses. But he finally zeroed in on Sanya. He had liked her performance in Dangal and right after the first meeting with her, he had decided that he would want her to be a part of the film. Sanya, who has signed the film, will play the younger sibling in it.”
For the uninitiated, Churiyan is a two-heroine project that revolves around two warring sisters. While Sanya has been roped in for the role of a younger sibling, the hunt for the elder sister is still on.
Earlier, the reports suggested that Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra were going to reunite for this film but recently Vishal had tweeted over these reports calling the news baseless.
The source added, “Fatima is not even in contention for the role of the older sibling. They are in talks with a few actresses already. As of now, only Sanya has been locked in for the film.”
