Earlier BollywoodMDB updated you about the re-collaboration between talent power house Nawazuddin Siddiqui and critically acclaimed director Ritesh Batra after their successful venture The Lunchbox ! And now as per the latest updates from the sources, Dangal fame Sanya Malhotra is signed for the female lead for the film Photograph! And as per the early hints were given by the director himself, “it will be a love story of sorts between a poor photographer and his muse!
While talking about the film, Ritesh Batra said, “There are a lot of other actors too in the film. It’ll have an ensemble cast since there are 44 parts in it. There will be a lot of exciting actors but Nawaz and Sanya are the two leads. And Nawaz is someone I worked with before, and I wanted to work with him again. So, he has always been attached to the project since I wrote the first draft. As for the girl’s part, we auditioned a lot of people, and that’s how Sanya was selected, through an intense process of auditioning.”
It might seem little unusual for as casting Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sanya Malhotra but then again it is not the first time Ritesh have given us unconventional stories and characters, and the last time he did it, we fell in love with Irrfan Khan and Nimrat Kaur in The Lunchbox .
