Shagufta Rafique ropes in Emraan Hashmi for her debut project
Well known script writer Shagufta Rafique will be soon making her directorial debut with the film named 'Rose' and Emraan Hashmi will essay the male lead in this film.

Shagufta Rafique is a well known script writer in B-town. Her journey from a beginner to a renowned script writer is very thought-provoking. Now, Shagufta is all set to make her directorial debut on the big screen very soon with the tentatively titled movie 'Rose'.
According to the writer, the movie will be a gender sensitive film which will depict a story of a raped housewife victim. The movie is said to have a base of Gulzar 's story named ' Ghar '. The movie will be produced by Reliance and will feature ' Ghanchakkar ' star Emraan Hashmi in a lead role.
'Rose' is a story of a rape victim and the effect of it. The story showcases about the rape victim's acceptance of the trauma and adaptation of her life after the shock. The writer expressed that 'Rose' is not the exact remake of 'Ghar', but it is about the vendetta taken after the rape. She also revealed that her story got more connotation and magnitude when she narrated it to others after the Nirbhaya rape - case.
Emraan Hashmi will essay the role of a supportive husband while the writer -director is finding little difficult to find the perfect female lead for this film who will essay the rape victim. It is said that Shagufta might opt for a newcomer to play the role.
