Sharmila Tagore, Ramesh Sippy and Sridevi honored with Padma awards
Honorable President of India Pranab Mukherjee has handed over the first Padma awards of this year recently. The awardees felt honored when the received award from the president himself. The awards were given in a glittering ceremony held on Friday.

Honorable President of India Pranab Mukherjee has handed over the first Padma awards of this year recently. The awardees felt honored when the received award from the president himself. The awards were given in a glittering ceremony held on Friday.
Yesteryears famous actress Sharmila Tagore got the prestigious Padma Bhushan award and talented actress Sridevi have received the prominent Padma Shri award at the ceremony. While, famous telugu filmmaker D Ramanaidu also got the Padma Bhushan award. While yesteryears popular actor late Rajesh Khanna and comedy actor late Jaspal Bhatti also were given the Padma Bhushan award prothumously.
Also, the director of ' Sholay ' , Ramesh Sippy , famous actor Nana Patekar ,boxer Dingko Singh, shooter Vijay Kumar and wrestler Yogesgwar Dutt will receive the Padma Shri award. Theatre artist B Jayashree , businesswoman Vandana Luthra and photographer Pablo Bartholomew received the Padma Shri award.
