Bollywood singer Shibani Kashyap has made special appearances playing herself in some films and now, she is going to portray her first full-fledged role in a film based on martial arts 'Ranviir The Marshal', reportedly. Shibani grabbed this role when she went to discuss about a song sequence for the same flick with the director Milind Ukey .
Shibani recalls the way she got the role by saying that "He said he had a character of a femme fatale that would be perfect for me and asked me if I'd like to do it." She was hesitant before but after hearing the narration of her role, she said yes. Shibani said "I felt, despite being negative, this character could inspire women in our country to learn martial arts. It's a fantastic form of fitness and self-defense."
Prior to the shooting, Shibani had to undergo 3 months rigorous martial arts training. She stated "For the first four days, I was in pain as my entire body went through a grueling session. There was more emphasis on judo as the moves in the film are acrobatic."
The singer is open for acting in films if the roles are inspiring. She says "I'm ready to take up a role that motivates women."
