Sources reveal that when Shiney Ahuja was offered a role in ' Barfi! ' he had indirectly turned it down. Sources also reveal that he had done so because the role was not significant in his eyes and he wanted a big and significant role as his comeback.
His last film ' Ghost ' had done very badly at the box office which has made him choosy about his role.
Shiney Ahuja admits that the director of ' Barfi! ' Anurag Basu is his good friend and they had also worked together in ' Gangster ' but since he wanted a significant role as his comeback, he had to turn down the offer.
Shiney Ahuja was accused of rape of his 20 year maid and was arrested in 2009 but later the maid admitted that he had not raped her. At present Shiney is on bail and staying in Delhi. ' Barfi! ' stars Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra and is expected to release on 14th September this year.
