Shweta Tripathi signed for ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’!

‘ Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi ’ is a period drama film based on the life of Rani Laxmibai, played by Kangana Ranaut . The official announcement of this movie was made early this year but what’s fresh related to the project is that actress Shweta Tripathi has been chosen to play the role of Rani Laxmibai’s best friend Kashibai. Shweta, who has been praised for her roles in offbeat films like ‘ Masaan ’ and ‘ Haramkhor ’, will appear in her first out-and-out commercial film.
If reports are anything to go by, it is going to be a challenging part for the actress as she will have to perform some action stunts in the movie for which she will undergo some training sessions. Apart from Shweta, the movie has a huge star cast with actors involving Sonu Sood , Suresh Oberoi , Atul Kulkarni , Vaibhav Tatwawaadi and Ankita Lokhande .
‘ Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi ’ will be directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi aka Krish , who has directed several critically acclaimed Tamil and Telugu movies. His only work in Bollywood or Hindi cinema is the 2015 movie ‘ Gabbar is Back ’ starring Akshay Kumar which was also a remake of Tamil film ‘Ramanaa’.
