Sujoy Ghosh to write a Marathi film for Riteish Deshmukh!
Actor Riteish Deshmukh says Sujoy Ghosh has promised him to write a Marathi movie and also tagged the producer, his wife Genelia Deshmukh.

Riteish Deshmukh has worked with ‘Kahaani’ fame director Sujoy Ghosh in the 2009 fantasy adventure film, ‘ Aladin ’. The film starred legendary Amitabh Bachchan and marked the debut of Jacqueline Fernandez alongside. The film was the first collaboration of the actor-director duo. Deshmukh, who has been keenly promoting Marathi films, has tweeted that the director has promised him to pen a Marathi movie.
The actor tweeted, “So I met this gentleman over coffee today & he has promised 2 write a script 4 a Marathi film. @sujoy_g just tagging the producer @geneliad”. The actor here tagged his wife Genelia Deshmukh, mentioning her to be the producer of the movie. To which the director replied “legendary producer”.
Apart from Bollywood, Riteish has starred in a Marathi movie ‘Lai Bhaari’ which was a super hit, and he also produced ‘Balak Palak’ in 2013, which was a raging success in Marathi cinema. While Sujoy is known for making suspense thrillers like, ‘ Kahaani ’, ‘ Kahaani 2 ’ and ‘Teen’, ‘Teen’ was co-produced by Ghosh.
It will be a treat to watch to all the content-driven cinema lovers to witness the director writing a regional movie.
