Sunil Dutt was the first 'Angry Young Man': Big B
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan who is known for his humbleness and modesty has once again shown his heart to confer his title of “Angry Young Man†to the late Sunil Dutt. He shared that to him the First Angry Young Man was played by Sunil Dutt who portrayed 'Birju' in the landmark movie “Mother Indiaâ€.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan who is known for his humbleness and modesty has once again shown his heart to confer his title of "Angry Young Man" to the late Sunil Dutt . He shared that to him the First Angry Young Man was played by Sunil Dutt who portrayed 'Birju' in the landmark movie " Mother India ". Sunil Dutt played the character of Birju, son of woman who single-handedly raises her children facing many hardships which is seen by younger son Birju and takes a form of a rebel in him.
' Namak Haram ' bore the seeds of the anger that was next seen in ' Zanjeer ', and the subsequent titling of the epithet 'Angry Young Man' by the media, wrote Big B on his Facebook page. But the first impactful depiction or the birth of the so called 'Angry Young Man' was designed by Mehboob Khan in ' Mother India ', where the character Birju played so brilliantly by Sunil Dutt , was depicted, he wrote further.
