Is there anything that this actor cannot do? We are talking about Sushant Singh Rajput , who in his 5 years short career has done multiple roles every time with different characters. Last seen in the fantasy drama film ‘ Raabta ’, he will now don the role of a dacoit and that too a Chambal Dacoit in Abhishek Chaubey ’s film ‘ Sonchiriya ’. The film will revolve around the Chambal dacoits of the 1970’s and it has Bhumi Pednekar as the female lead. But what’s intriguing so far is Sushant’s look from the movie. The dusty clothes, bullet holder over his shoulder, a vintage gun and a LAAL TIKA on his forehead are seriously giving us Gabbar Singh’s feel. Check out the new Daaku in the town.
The film recently went on floors, but Sushant had reached the location 3 weeks before just to get used to the soil of Chambal. “Sushant is playing a dacoit for the first time and wanted to get into the character before the schedule starts so he will leave for the location on January 12 to spend time with a few former dacoits. He will also lose some muscle weight to look the rustic part as well as learn rifle-shooting,” informs a source.
The first shooting schedule will be of two months and besides Sushant and Bhumi, the film also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Ranvir Shorey . The film is being bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala Production.
