It seems Bollywood is not going to leave its fascination for making films based on real life incidences. There is no harm in doing so as long as these films help makers reap maximum profits at the box office. The latest real life story which has caught the fancy of filmmakers is the one where veteran Indian politician and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj brought back an Indian girl from Pakistan who was made to marry a Pakistani Muslim at gunpoint.
According to reports, filmmaker Dhiraj Kumar is planning to bring forth the story of Uzma Ahmed, an Indian national who had to marry Pakistani national Tahir Ali against her wish. When External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj took the cognizance of the issue, she left no stone unturned to back Uzma after winning a legal battle that lasted almost a fortnight.
Kumar is in talks with veteran actress Tabu to play Swaraj in the movie, while Parineeti Chopra is being considered to play the female lead, a character based on Uzma Ahmed. Reportedly, Taapsee Pannu is also being considered for the same role. Reportedly, Anil Kapoor might be roped in to play Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh who aided Ahmed.
