The Ek Villain sequel to mark the debut collaboration of Kriti Sanon and Sidharth Malhotra?

Ek Villain can undoubtedly be counted as the most successful film in the actor Sidharth Malhotra ’s career. The movie was adapted from a South Korean film and was a major hit in India. Directed by Mohit Suri , the masses loved the film and a sequel is in a complete demand. We know that the movie had Shraddha Kapoor opposite Sid but the makers are now looking for another actress for the sequel as Shraddha’s character died in the first film. From the latest report, we hear Kriti Sanon may get cast opposite Sid in the sequel. Though no confirmation is made about the cast, a source close to the project revealed that Kriti and Sidharth have never done a movie before so few filmmakers are keen to cast them together.

Recently, a source had told a leading daily, "Though Kriti Sanon's Raabta didn't do anything great for her; the actress was appreciated for her work in Bareilly Ki Barfi that has turned the favour on her side. Same goes with Sidharth. His last few films like Baar Baar Dekho and A Gentleman tanked at the box-office but after Ittefaq , many filmmakers are said to have thought of approaching him. Also, Sidharth and Sanon have not been paired as yet so few of the makers are very keen in casting them together in a film."

An official confirmation is still awaited. Kriti and Sid, meanwhile, are busy with their upcoming projects.

Where Sidharth’s latest film, Aiyaary , released today, he is also in talks to appear in the Hindi remake of Kannada film, Kirik Party. On the other hand, Kriti has Arjun Patiala opposite Diljit Dosanjh .
