Sudhir Mishra ’s Daas Dev has now pushed for the fourth time. The movie is ready to come out for the last one and half months but because of one thing or the other, its makers have been postponing it for a long time now. The movie was initially slated to release in February itself, but director Mishra wanted to give Padmaavat enough space so they pushed their movie to March 09th. But a bunch of movies was scheduled to release on the said date so its makers again postponed the film to 23rd March. And now, just a few days before the selected date, the movie has pushed away yet again. Now, the new release date of the film is 20th April 2018.
When fans and movie lovers asked Mishra that why have they postponed it yet again, he said, “The film release date has been moved to April 20th by the distributors Shringar Films. They feel it's better and we believe that they know more than us.”
The ace storyteller is bringing the modern day adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's classic novel, Devdas. Daas Dev is set against the backdrop of politics and a love triangle. The film stars Richa Chadda as Paro, Aditi Rao Hydari as Chandni (Chandramukhi) and Rahul Bhat as Dev (Babu). Mishra’s adaptation of Devdas also stars Saurabh Shukla , Anurag Kashyap (Guest appearance), Dalip Tahil , Vineet Kumar Singh and Deepraj Rana in the pivotal roles.
