Rohit Shetty is one of the best filmmakers from the current generation of Bollywood directors. Ever since he made his directorial debut with the Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan starrer film Zameen in 2003, he has changed the done to death rules of filmmaking and has set new standards. With one blockbuster after another, Rohit has cemented his position as a filmmaker who caters to the mass audience of the country, providing wholesome entertainment to each and every one. For his contribution to Hindi cinema, the filmmaker was recently felicitated with the award for "A Director with a Difference."
The Society Achievers Awards held on January 14th, 2018 is an occasion where the people who matter come together at a grand venue to raise a toast to some powerhouses of talent amidst the industry. And this year, the jury decided to honor Rohit Shetty . Veteran actresses Rekha and Zeenat Aman presented him the award.
The director is currently seen as co-judge on India’s Next Superstar. He has also announced his next film Simmba with Ranveer Singh .
