Actor Sidharth Malhotra , who is on a break these days, was about to start his upcoming film, Kargil: Sher Shah, which is a biopic on Kargil martyr, Vikram Batra. The film was already in the pre-production stage and Sidharth also started prepping up for the same. But according to recent reports, the movie has now been delayed as the actor feels it’s a huge responsibility to portray the role of late martyr. If sources are to be relied upon then Sid will first do Ekta Kapoor ’s upcoming film and then he’ll commence Kargil: Sher Shah.
A source close to the actor informed a leading portal, “Sidharth Malhotra is having a rough phase at the box office. While A Gentleman and Aiyaary tanked at the ticket window, Ittefaq just about managed decently. Hence getting into the shoes of a personality like Vikram Batra is a huge responsibility. For the same, the actor needs more time. Therefore the team has put the movie on hold and Malhotra instead will begin work on Ekta’s film soon.”
