Veteran actor Jagdish Raj expires

The veteran yesteryear\'s Bollywood actor Jagdish Raj passed away on July 28 due to respiratory problems. The actor was cremated on July 28 in Mumbai.

The veteran Bollywood actor Jagdish Raj expired on July 28, 2013. Jagdish Raj was the one, who was popular for essaying the role of a cop in several yesteryear Bollywood films. The actor holds a Guinness World Record for playing a police officer's role in 144 films.

He was born in the year 1928 as Jagdish Raj Khurana in Sargodha, which now falls in Pakistan. The ace actor also portrayed the role as judge. He was favorite among the masses for his role as quintessential police officer. Jagdish Raj featured in plenty of Hindi films including ' Don ' (1978), ' Mazdoor ' (1983), ' Silsila ', ' Deewaar ', ' Insaaf Ka Tarazu ', ' The Burning Train ', ' Khwab ', ' Kaala Patthar ' and many more. The career span of the actor ranged from the year 1960 to 1992.

This 85-years old persona was keeping unwell for the past two years. The actor was suffering from lung and respiratory issues and experienced respiratory problems as the cause of his death, as per the reports.

Jagdish Raj cremated on July 28 in Pawan Hans crematorium. The B-Town personas like Rishi Kapoor , Rahul Rawail and David Dhawan were present at the time of last rites of the actor. Jagdish Raj is having two daughters and a son.
