Vicky Kaushal to romance Taapsee Pannu in Anurag Kashyap's next?
The makers had initially signed Ayushmann Khurrana and Pednekar, but now Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu will headline the cast.

We reported a couple of weeks ago that after dropping Bhumi Pednekar from the forthcoming film Manmarziyan , the makers roped in talented actress Taapsee Pannu to play the female lead. The latest we hear that versatile actor Vicky Kaushal has been roped in to play the lead character in the film, replacing Ayushmann Khurrana . To be directed by Anurag Kashyap , the much-delayed project is expected to mount floors soon.
Manmarziyan was announced two years ago with Sameer Sharma . Ayushmann Khurrana and Pednekar were signed to play the lead pair in the movie. However, due to some creative differences, it was put on hold and could not take off.
Sharma was replaced by director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari who was expected to start the film right after the release of her directorial debut Nil Battey Sannata . But things did not fall into place and Tiwari moved on to directing Bareilly Ki Barfi . And now finally, when Kashyap joined the project, the team decided to not only have a fresh story but also a new lead pair to avoid baggage from the past.
To be produced by Aanand L Rai , the film is expected to start rolling soon.
