Talented actress Vidya Balan is likely to play the legendary singer M.S. Subbulakshmi in a biopic. Famous admaker and cinematographer Rajiv Menon is planning to make a biopic on famous Carnatic Singer M. S. Subbulakshmi. The filmmaker has approached Vidya to play the lead and Vidya is thinking about it. In a recent interview, Vidya revealed that she has been approached for the role and the discussion is on. When asked about the details she said that she can't say more at the moment but she is thinking positive about it. Being is a south Indian it will be an honor for her to play the legendary singer who is waking up the half population of India with her chantings every morning since many years.
Vidya who recently has got the Filmfare and national awards of the best actress for her films ' The Dirty Picture ' and ' Kahaani ' is currently shooting for 'Shaadi ke Side Effects' along with Farhan Akhtar . She will be next seen opposite Emraan Hashmi in ' Ghanchakkar ' .
