Vir Das, Soha Ali Khan to star together in '1984'

Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan will play the Sikh husband and wife in the upcoming film '1984' that will be directed by National award winning director Shivaji Lotan Patil.

The stand-up comedian turned actor Vir Das has tickled the funny bone of the audience with his impeccable comic timing on the silver screen. It seems now Das intends to do something different unlike playing comedy roles. Vir Das will be reportedly seen playing a Sikh in the upcoming film based on the infamous anti-Sikh riots in the year 1984.

The film will talk about riots that took place post the assassination of Mrs Indira Gandhi in 1984. As of now, the film is titled as '1984' and will be helmed by the National award winning director Shivaji Lotan Patil. Vir will be seen wearing a turban and with a beard. The actor said that he plays an emotionally intense role in the flick. The further news update revealed that Soha Ali Khan will be essaying the role of Vir's wife in the film '1984'. Vir and Soha will be undergoing some rehearsals prior the actual shoot of the film in order to play the respective roles more conveniently.
