South star Parvathy reveals why she chose ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ as her debut film in Bollywood opposite Irrfan Khan, directed by Tanuja Chandra.

Parvathy Thiruvoth Kottuvata aka Parvathy , who is an established actress majorly known for her work in Tamil and Malayalam cinema, is all set to make her Bollywood debut. Her first Hindi movie ‘ Qarib Qarib Singlle ’ is about to release next month opposite Irrfan Khan . Talking about how she got the role, the actress reveals that one day she received a message from director Tanuja Chandra , asking her if she would like to work with her. Parvathy was thrilled because Chandra’s films boast of strong women characters. She feels that it was never about doing a `female-oriented' film because she does not believe in that word. On the other hand, she thinks the character should connect with her.
Parvathy is playing the role of Jaya and her character in the film is a modern woman looking for love, but she lives in no fairy tale world. She believes that all love stories might not have the happy endings. She feels that it’s not necessary that all love stories should culminate into marriage or if the marriage fails then there was less love.
Shot across real locations of Bikaner, Rishikesh and Gangtok, ' Qarib Qarib Singlle ' is presented by Zee Studios and produced by A Jar Pictures production. Directed by Tanuja Chandra , the movie is all set to arrive in cinemas on 10th November 2017.
