The fresh talent Yami Gautam recently featured in the rom-com ' Total Siyapaa ' opposite Ali Zafar . And now, the actress has ventured into different field by featuring in a music album by A. R. Rahman . Reportedly, Yami Gautam features in A. R. Rahman 's freshly released music album titled 'Raunaq' in the music video 'Aabhi Jaa'.
The album presents Yami as an oldworld princess from one of paintings of Raja Ravi Verma. What makes this song more special is, it is written by Minister of IT & Telecommunication, Kapil Sibal, as the reports say.
Yami Gautam was applied with extra make-up for this music video, which was filmed in Chennai. She completed her part in four days. Yami, who is happy to be a part of this video said that "I've always wanted to do a costume drama. For a wedding sequence, I was transformed into a South Indian bride and when I saw the original painting, I was exhilarated by the thought of being a part of history,"
The reason why Rahman decided to cast Yami for this video is, he thought she resembles the face of woman, whom Verma liked to paint. Working with Oscar-winning composer was always much important for Yami, so she instantly said yes!
