Confirmed: Neil Nitin Mukesh to play the lead antagonist in Varalaxmi’s ‘Shakthi’!
Directed by Mysskin’s assistant Priyadaarshini, Shakthi will be a female-centric film with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar playing the lead.

A few days back, BollywoodMDB had informed its readers that actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has bagged a yet another film where he will play the lead antagonist. Now, the news is confirmed and the actor will be seen as a baddie in a movie titled, Shakthi. Directed by Mysskin’s assistant Priyadaarshini, Shakthi will be a female-centric film with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar playing the lead.
Confirming the news, the director said, “I wanted someone who looks handsome and I really liked the way Neil looked in Kaththi. I met him in Mumbai and gave a two-hour narration. The first and second halves of the film are very different and the antagonist’s character becomes more important in the second half. Neil was impressed with these portions and agreed to come on board.”
She reveals that the actor will be seen playing a person hailing from Pune, a jolly guy, who is also intelligent and dangerous. “If he thinks someone is equal to him, he feels compelled to compete against them and win at any cost. The second half will be an action-packed cat-and-mouse game between him and Varalaxmi,” she informs.
Neil, who will start shooting this film in May, will also be seen in a grey role in a trilingual film, Saaho , starring Prabhas .
