Actor Ravi Teja, whose recently released film Raja The Great has done phenomenal business at the ticket window, was all set to star in the Telugu remake of Tamil film Bogan, which originally featured Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swami in pivotal roles. But now the news is coming in that the megastar has decided to walk out of the project, leaving director Lakshman miffed. Lakshman, who directed the original film, put his heart and soul in the pre-production of the remake but with Ravi exiting the project at the last moment has brought his attempt to zilch.
Talking to a leading online entertainment portal, Lakshman said: “I had to rework the script for the Telugu audience. Also, Ravi Teja had done a certain type of films, to suit his style I tweaked my script. Now, when he says he cannot do the film, it is very upsetting. I need time to think about what to do next – to go with another actor or start working on a Tamil film.”
Insiders say that after the success of Raja The Great, Ravi does not want to do a remake at this point in his career. The project has been shelved for the time being. However, Lakshman is hopeful that he can make it with another actor.
