After dazzling everyone with one of his career's best performances in ‘Natsamrat’, Nana Patekar is back with another Marathi film, ‘Aapla Manus’ (Our Person). The movie revolves around Sumeet Raghavan and Irawati Harshe, who play a young urban couple and share a complex relationship with their father. The unexpected death of the father marks the entry of Senior Inspector Maruti Nagargoje (Nana) into their lives. Nagargoje turns their world upside down making them question their beliefs about life and family. The trailer looks promising and the chemistry between Nana and Sumeet is amazing. The suspense-drama with Nana’s quirky punches makes the trailer even more engaging. Interestingly, the movie is produced by Ajay Devgn , making it his debut venture in Marathi cinema. The Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Ajay Devgn FFilms production is directed by Satish Rajwade. Check out the trailer.
Nana, who has worked in many Marathi films, feels this movie is special and talking about his role, he said in a statement, "After 'Natsamrat', I was waiting for something special to come my way, a character that wouldn't leave me even after the narration and with Maruti Nagargoje (the character), I found him."
"He is a complex character, something that I have never played before in Marathi cinema. He is a man of few words, has a peculiar dialect and mannerism, a characteristic that makes him so unique," he added.
In the past, we have seen Marathi films doing great business at the box office and as it stars talented Nana Patekar and Sumeet Raghavan, we can expect the same from this film.
Produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilms, ‘Aapla Manus’ is coming out on 9th February.
