TV actors Anas Rashid and Kavita Kaushik to star in a Punjabi film!
Anas Rashid is all set to make his debut in Punjabi films; actress Kavita Kaushik will also be a part of the project.

TV actors appearing in movies are no big deal these days. While most of the actors wish for Bollywood, many actors choose regional cinema. One such actor is Anas Rashid, who is all set to make his debut in Punjabi film industry. Anas, who is already a household name because of his hit show ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, will share the screen with legendary Gurdas Maan . The movie is titled, ‘Nankana’. Confirming the news, Anas said, '' It's a nice story and I would like to tell everyone to go to the theatre and watch it once it will be released." Anas is not the only small screen actor who will be seen in the film. Kavita Kaushik , the ‘F.I.R.’ fame has also roped in for the same.
When asked about the film and her role in it, Kavita commented, "I can't reveal much about it. All I can say is it's a very prestigious project and I am having a great time shooting here in Punjab. Gurdas Maan Sahab is a legend and it’s an honour working with him."
The shooting of the film is in full swing and the movie is slated to hit the screens in April next year. Though it might be Anas’ first film, Kavita made her Bollywood debut back in 2004.
