Positive Points: Riteish Deshmukh , Vivek Oberoi and Sahil Vaid are good with their performances. The plot twist is fun and entertaining.

Negative Points: Since Bank Chor was touted as a comedy film, more of punch lines and laughter was expected.

Plot: A commoner Champak ( Riteish Deshmukh ) decides to rob a bank in South Mumbai and teams up with two dumb head thieves Gulab and Genda from Delhi NCR. These three amateur robbers enter the bank premises with no concrete plan to execute. Results in chaos and confusion during the entire robbery scenario. The hostages laugh at their silly antics and they neither are successful in stealing a damn thing!

But, there is more to the story as CBI Officer Amjad Khan ( Vivek Oberoi ) has been appointed to handle this case which according to him is linked with two other similar bank robbery cases. Inside the bank now has another ‘real’ Bank Chor Jugnu ( Sahil Vaid ) who is the real gruesome villain. Soon it turns out that Jugnu and his army are in search of some hard drive that has very important secret evidence against the biggies of the political system and hence, the police and CBI are involved in large numbers.

Meanwhile, Champak involves TV reporter Gayatri ( Rhea Chakraborty ) and Amjad Khan to vent out from the bank and save the hostages and his friends. Amjad Khan takes control of the situation to catch hold of Jugnu and his gang but in vain as Jugnu is found trapped himself inside a locker! Who is the real Bank Chor?

Direction and other Technical Aspects: Director Bumpy has done a fair job when it comes to direction. However, in a way the film was promoted, more of comedy and comic sequences are expected. Although it does not bore the viewers due to its fast pace, it somehow manages to hold the attention with its storyline. There are a few fun sequences that tickle your funny bones, especially the Mumbai and Delhi debate scenes. The dialogues and screen play are apt and the subplots unfold rightly. The length of the film is managed well with crisp editing.

Performances: Riteish Deshmukh is always a delight to watch on the big screen and his Marathi Manus act is lovable. Here he does just what was expected out of him and keeps the audience entertained with his performance. He is capable to deliver comedy like a pro but has fewer occasions here, though, he pulls off plain scenes with sheer brilliance.

Vivek Oberoi as the tough cop Amjad Khan is good. There was less scope for heroic acts in this comedy drama with a twist but, whatever part was rendered upon him, he pulls it off justifiably.

Rhea Chakraborty impressed one and all with her fine performance in the recently released film Half Girlfriend. The diva has a lot of potential as an actor but had limited role in this movie. She is good in her supporting part.

Sahil Vaid deserves a special mention as he thoroughly impresses with his gruesome act. Usually, he is seen in comic roles, but he totally nailed the antihero piece! All other supporting actors perform their bits perfectly. Baba Sehgal has a fun cameo role.

Final Verdict: Bank Chor is a light-hearted time-pass comedy tale that can be enjoyed with friends and family.
