One of the most anticipated movies in India is ‘Pushpa 2.’ The expectations for the Allu Arjun film are very high because we have witnessed how South Indian sequels, like ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ and ‘KGF Chapter 2,’ have broken records. We have been hearing over the past few days that the lead actor is asking for at least ₹1000 crore to sell the theatrical rights to the movie. Anything you need to know about the latest development is below.

Part 1 was directed by Sukumar and released in 2021. The movie performed exceptionally well at the Indian box office despite the Covid limitations. The Hindi version actually went on to earn over 100 crores and experienced one of the best trends for a Hindi film. It was deemed a commercial success and earned a total of nearly 350 crores. Trade experts have very high expectations for part 2.

Is It A Rumour?

Returning to the subject, rumours that Allu Arjun demanded at least 1000 crores to secure the theatrical rights agreement for ‘Pushpa 2’ in all languages are catching on like wildfire. Although it has not been verified, SS Rajamouli's ‘RRR’ was reported to have made a staggering 900 crores from the sale of theatrical rights, and it is being believed that Allu's movie will surpass that amount.

Now, according to the source, news of ‘Pushpa 2's’theatrical rights contract is wholly untrue, and the cast and crew of the Allu Arjun movie are the ones attempting to spread false rumours. There isn't really a big buzz surrounding the Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam dubbed versions, with the exception of the Hindi and Telugu versions. The distributors, it has been learned, are not in a hurry to purchase theatrical rights.
