Allu Arjun is one of the most sought-after actors working in Telugu cinema. He has delivered a string of successful films over the past couple of years, but the humongous success of his last release Pusha: The Rise (2021) established him as a pan-India star.
Directed by Sukumar, the film broke a series of records upon its release in December last year. Not just in Telugu, it turned out to be a major hit in other languages also, including Hindi where its dubbed version went on to rake in a massive ₹106 crores.
After Pushpa: The Rise, Allu Arjun is gearing up to commence work on the film’s sequel, titled Pushpa: The Rule. The filming for the same is expected to begin anytime soon.
If reports are to be believed, Arjun has doubled his remuneration for the hugely anticipated sequel. The actor demanded a hefty paycheque of ₹100 crore for Pushpa: The Rule, which shocked the makers as he had charged ₹50 crore for Pushpa: The Rise. It will be interesting to see if the makers agree to pay him that staggering amount or a negotiation is in the offing.
