Barroz: Mohanlal completes the filming of his first directorial venture; shares pictures from sets
With the 3D movie Barroz, which has a Portuguese backdrop, superstar Mohanlal made the transition from actor to filmmaker. The film portrays the tale of a man who protects Vasco Da Gama, the discoverer of a 400-year-old treasure. On his blog, The Complete Actor, he shared this news in 2019. The Lucifer actor announced on Twitter that the shooting has now concluded.
Sharing a group selfie with his team as he announced the wrap of Barroz, Mohanlal wrote, “This is Team Barroz signing off from the location. And now… the wait begins!"
In the photo, he is pictured with the Barroz cast and crew. Kochi, Goa, Dehradun, Portugal, and Guinea have all served as locations for the filming of this Malayalam production. The most important portion of the movie will now be post-production and visual effects work.
The movie is based on Jijo Punnoose's novel of the same name and is produced by Aashirvaad Cinemas. Unni Mukundan, Maya, Paz Vega, Guru Somasundaram, Rafael Amargo, and Cesar Lorente Raton also have significant roles in the film.
Santosh Sivan is in charge of the film's cinematography, and Lydian Nadhaswaram composed the score for the background.
Mohanlal is currently working on a number of movies, including Monster, Alone, Ram, L2: Empuraan, and L353.
