Confirmed: Nayanthara replaced by Shraddha Srinath in Yuvaraj Dhayalan's next
Currently seen in Annaatthe (2021) alongside megastar Rajinikanth, popular actress Nayanthara was set to join hands with filmmaker Yuvaraj Dhayalan for his next directorial venture. But from what we hear now is that the actress has walked out of the project citing date issues.
The Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019) actress has reportedly bowed out of the film due to some delay in her next with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The Atlee Kumar directorial marks her debut in Bollywood.
“Nayanthara will not be part of this project because of the delay in her Bollywood debut, in which she is acting opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Nayanthara had to majorly reshuffle her dates because of the delay that happened in Shah Rukh's film, which is being directed by Atlee,” a source in the know divulges.
The source goes on to add, “The makers of Yuvaraj’s untitled film had already shot some portions that did not involve the actress some time ago and were waiting for the actress to complete her schedule of the Bollywood film. Now, they want to go back on floors soon, but the actress is still tied up with the Hindi film. So, they have gone ahead and opted for another actress to play the lead role now that Nayanthara isn't able to accommodate her dates for this project.”
After the sudden exit of Nayanthara, the makers approached Shraddha Srinath with the film, which she readily accepted. The film’s producer, SR Prabhu, confirmed the development, saying, “Shraddha Srinath will now be playing the lead role in this drama involving three couples.”
Apart from Atlee Kumar’s next, Nayanthara has a slew of interesting projects in the pipeline. Some of her upcoming films include Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Godfather, Gold, and an untitled film GS Viknesh.
