Confirmed: Rashmika Mandanna to romance Vijay in Thalapathy 66
After much speculation, it has finally been confirmed that popular Telugu star Rashmika Mandanna will share the screen space opposite Tamil superstar Vijay in his next film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 66. The actress is celebrating her birthday today.
The makers took to social media and wished Mandanna on her birthday. They also shared a poster on their official account, welcoming the actress onboard.

Vamshi Paidipally is attached to direct the forthcoming venture. The film is set to go before cameras after the release of Vijay’s much-anticipated film Beast, which is scheduled to enter theatres on April 13. Fans are excited to know that the makers have roped in Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead opposite Vijay.
Mandanna debuted in Tamil cinema with the 2016 film Sulthan. The film starred Karthi opposite her and performed well at the box-office. She was earlier offered to star alongside Vijay in Master, but the actress could not take up the role due to her busy schedule.
Mandanna is also gearing up to make her Bollywood debut with Mission Majnu, co-starring Siddharth Malhotra. She also shares the screen space with megastar Amitabh Bachchan in her second Bollywood film Goodbye.
