Many of Rashmika's fans are aware that she was formerly engaged to Kannada actor Rakshit Shetty, and the two were even engaged for a time. Rashmika Mandanna engaged Rakshit Shetty in 2017, however, the couple called it off in September 2018. The former duo met on the set of 'Kirik Party' in 2016, and their fans were both surprised and outraged when the actress abruptly called off their engagement.

Revealing the reason for calling off their engagement and breaking up with the actor, Rashmika said that there were compatibility issues. It was also reported that she was getting some good offers in Tollywood and wanted to focus on her career.
