Deepika Padukone to star with Kamal Haasan in Indian 2; makers to offer them massive pay
With his comeback film Vikram (2022), veteran actor Kamal Haasan broke numerous box office records. Additionally, the film included cameos from Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, and Suriya. Now, he is focusing on reviving the Shankar-directed film Indian 2, which has been put on hold since 2020 owing to financial difficulties. Additionally, there is a widespread allegation that Kamal is eager to cast Deepika Padukone.
Previously, Kajal Aggarwal had already been cast in the forthcoming Kamal Haasan flick. Due to certain circumstances, it appears that Kajal has withdrawn from the movie due to her voluntary maternity leave. A prominent Bollywood heroine, such as Deepika Padukone or Katrina Kaif, is what the producers are currently looking for.
The leading ladies of the film have not yet been officially confirmed, but the makers plan to cast two Bollywood actresses opposite Haasan. Also anticipated is a formal statement from the producers regarding Kajal's exit. Her withdrawal occurred after she had already completed filming certain scenes for her character.
Indian 2 already boasts a stellar ensemble with Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Nedumudi Venu, and Samuthirakani playing pivotal roles in addition to Kamal Haasan. When filmmaker Shankar finishes filming Ram Charan's RC 15, the veteran actor had previously stated that they would undoubtedly resume work on Indian 2.
