Following complaints of chest trouble, South Indian star Chiyaan Vikram was admitted to the hospital. The actor was scheduled to attend the teaser release for his upcoming movie Ponniyin Selvan I, but he was taken to the Kauvery hospital in Chennai instead.
According to some reports, the Sethu (1999) actor had suffered a heart attack and needed to be hospitalized. Now, Dhruv Vikram, Vikram's son, updated everyone on his father's health in a post on Instagram and debunked "false rumours."
The Adithya Varma (2019) actor shared a note on his Instagram story and penned, "Dear fans and well-wishers, Appa had mild chest discomfort and is being treated for the same. He did not have a heart attack as reports falsely claim. We are pained to hear rumours to this effect. "That being said, we request you to give our family the privacy we need at this time. Chiyaan is fine now. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital in a day. We hope this statement provides clarity and trust that the false rumours will be put to rest."
Meanwhile, in PS-I, Vikram will be sharing the screen space with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Jayaram, and Prakash Raj. The historical drama, helmed by Mani Ratnam, will be released on September 30.
