Mollywood star Dulquer has been winning hearts time and again with his stellar performances. He has been one of the finest actors in the film industry. DQ who is the son of superstar Mammootty has always looked up to his father who has earned his name in the industry and has been one of the most popular actors in Mollywood. While promoting his upcoming film Chup: Revenge of the Artist, the actor spoke about his father Mammootty.
Dulquer Salmaan described how his father Mammootty faced criticism early in his acting life. He spoke, "I’ve heard stories of him being written off. So. he tells me that - like if I read something hurtful and I’m upset – and he’s like, you know in the 80s there were people trying to write me off, thinking he’s finished, and what not. I don’t know where those people are now.’ Like, critics also keep changing. I don’t think the people affected us today. I don’t think the people who affected me in 2012 or 2013 are the same ones affecting me now. Because we only keep reading the negative things. But we are not really tracking who these people are."
Many times, DQ has mentioned how his father has been his biggest inspiration. On Mammootty’s birthday, DQ had earlier shared a heartfelt post for his father. Earlier, there were rumors doing rounds that they both might appear in a film together but no official update has been given by any one of them. However, Salmaan has always mentioned how much he wants to share the screen with his father.
