Legendary Telugu star Nagarjuna Akkineni was recently in Mumbai. During a media interaction, the actor opened up about the divorce of his son Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Prabhu and the negative stories circulating about the former in media.
Talking about the divorce he says, "We can't keep moping about it. It's gone. It's out of our lives. So I hope it will be out of everybody's life."
On his son, Nagarjuna said Chaitanya is happy right now and that the whole thing was an unfortunate experience for him. "He is happy, that's all I see. That's good enough for me. It's an experience that happened to him. Unfortunate."
Noteworthy, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, who starred in films like Manam, Ye Maaya Chesave and Autonagar Surya, started dating in 2015. Called as ChaySam by their fans, the couple tied the knot in October 2017.
However, their 4-year-old marriage hit rock bottom and the couple announced separation in October last year, through posts on social media.
Meanwhile, on work front, Naga Chaitanya is all set to appear in Venkat Prabhu's Telugu-Tamil bilingual film. It will mark his Tamil debut. Besides, Chaitanya will make his web debut with Vikram Kumar's web series Dhootha.
He also has a film with Parasuram in the pipeline.
On the other hand, Samantha is gearing up for the release of Shiva Nirvana's Kushi, which also features Vijay Deverakonda and slated for release on 23 December 2022.
Besides, she will also star in the mythological drama Shaakuntalam and the pan-India movie Yashoda.
