Jigarthanda Double X: Was Raghava Lawrence’s Next Film Made On ‘THIS’ WHOOPING Budget? (Details Inside)

Raghava Lawrence, who appeared in ‘Chandramukhi 2’, will next be seen in ‘Jigarthanda Double X.' That film will be released on Diwali. The first film was released in 2014. ‘Jigarthanda’ is a cult gangster comedy, and fans have been clamouring for a reboot/sequel for a long time. ‘Jigarthanda Double X’, starring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah, is now in the works. The film's budget appears to be enormous.

The original ‘Jigarthanda’ was made on a Rs 10 crore budget. The film grossed Rs 35 crore at the box office. This one has a larger budget, which is expected to be more than Rs 35 crore.

‘Jigarthanda Double X’ is supposed to have a budget of Rs 40 crore. However, Raghava Lawrence announced during a press conference that the film's budget is Rs 100 crore. He further said that in the original film, he was intended to portray Assault Sethu. Bobby Simha portrayed the part and won several honours for it. Raghava Lawrence expressed disappointment after seeing the original, believing he had missed out on a memorable character.

The actor was reported as stating, "But now, I'm so happy that instead of acting in a 20-crore film, I've now done a 100-crore film."

'Chandramukhi 2' crosses the 50-crore mark:

'Chandramukhi 2' has grossed Rs 50 crores globally. Kangana Ranaut's biggest hit after a very lean period. Raghava Lawrence plays two characters in the film. Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence's coupling has been well received by fans. Karthik Subbaraj expressed his wish that ‘Jigarthanda Double X’ will be as successful as ‘Petta’. In the interim, films such as ‘Mahaan’ and ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ are available on OTT. In the business, the director is noted for his distinct narrative.
