Kamal Haasan jets off to USA to start preparing for his next film, Indian 2
After delivering the all-time blockbuster hit film Vikram (2022), which was directed by Lokesh Kangaraj, Kamal Haasan has been extremely busy. He announced Raaj Kamal Films International's 54th feature, featuring Udhayanidhi Stalin as the hero, during Red Giant Movies' fifteenth anniversary celebration a few days ago. But for now, everyone is quite curious about the project the actor will be working on.
Now there are reports that Kamal has travelled to the USA to get ready for the long-awaited sequel to Indian, which is being helmed by Shankar. He will reportedly engage with renowned makeup experts there to achieve the ideal old man look. In addition to a deadly accident on set and the pandemic, a cosmetics mistake was cited as one of the project's delays. After three weeks, The Ulaganayagan will return to India and begin filming in September.
Kamal Haasan plays an elderly vigilante who fights corruption in Indian 2, the follow-up to the 1996 hit of the same name. Kajal Aggarwal withdrew from the initial cast of Indian 2, which started two years ago, due to childbirth, and actors Vivek and Nedumudi Venu passed away. Their replacements are expected to be unveiled shortly.
