The opening lines of Suriya are as follows when translated from Tamil: “As the waves of the island shore sketch and etch his face. As the drums of Perumaachi reverberate and echo his name. There is one and only one… warrior that war yearns for… born from the womb of fire… the pride of our isle Perumaachi… Kanguva.”
‘Kanguva’, which will be published in 10 languages in 3D format next year, features great music by Devi Sri Prasad and beautiful images from cinematographer Vetri Palanisany. ‘Kanguva’ was co-produced by UV Creations and Studio Green. Notably, just a small portion of the novel takes place in the present; the majority takes place more than 1500 years ago. For ‘Kanguva’, Siva and Suriya are working together for the first time.
Suriya debuted the title look of the movie with a video poster in April of this year. The actor penned: "Sheer joy working with Siva and Team on this mighty saga. Happy to share the title look of #Kanguva."
In Vikram, Suriya was last observed. Additionally, he had a cameo appearance in the book Rocketry: The Nambi Effect by R. Madhavan.
