KWK 7: Vijay Deverakonda says Shah Rukh Khan and Chiranjeevi inspired him to not lose hope

One of the most popular actors of current times Vijay Deverakonda made his debut in the fourth episode of the famous talk show Koffee with Karan. He was accompanied by the talented and cheerful Ananya Panday. The two are going to appear together on the big screen in the upcoming film Liger. Their appearance on the show was eagerly anticipated. Vijay who made his debut definitely gave some brewing statements, shared experiences, and his honesty was on point.

As we are all well aware, Vijay Deverakonda didn't grow up around movies but eventually became a trustworthy and bankable celebrity in the Telugu film industry. He spoke on the responsibility he had as an outsider who became successful in the film industry and who inspired him during his path as he waits for the release of his pan-Indian picture Liger. Vijay responded by stating “It is ok to dream, even though your family may tell you to not dream so big. It’s important that they see that if I came from there and did it, anyone in the country can. When I was growing up, I saw Shah Rukh coming from Delhi or Chiranjeevi Garu, back home, coming from nothing. They gave you that glimmer of hope that this can be done. I think I need to do the same for my generation and the people that come after me because it does help and it does show you a way. So that’s what floats my boat”.

Liger will also mark Vijay Deverakonda’s debut in Bollywood and Ananya Panday’s debut in the South. Earlier this month, the film’s first song Akdi Pakdi was released which has been on the top charts and has got fans grooving to it. Vijay and Ananya’s amazing chemistry is pretty visible in both the song and trailer. Liger is slated to release in theatres on August 25, 2022. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil.
