‘Leo’, Thalapathy Vijay's newest film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has been a huge hit. As the picture finished two weeks at the box office, the producers held a success celebration event, which was attended by the actors and crew of the film.
Aside from being a box office success, ‘Leo’ marked the return to the big screen of fan favourites Trisha Krishnan and Thalapathy Vijay after a 15-year hiatus. They were last seen together in the 2008 action picture ‘Kuruvi’. During the success event, the ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ actress discussed working with Vijay, saying it felt like "reuniting with a high school friend after a long time."

The actress also congratulated director Lokesh Kanagaraj and expressed her delight at becoming a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, or LCU for short. Her speech might be roughly translated as follows:
"Thank you for Sathya, Lokesh. I'm glad you didn't murder me in the film, and I'm proud to be a member of LCU. Working with Vijay was like reuniting with an old high school buddy after a lengthy absence, and I've spent the most time with him in my 20-year career.”
Lokesh and Trisha’s prior collaborations:
Trisha and Vijay have previously worked together in four films, all of which were box office smashes. They initially featured together in Dharani's 2004 flick ‘Ghilli’. The film is still regarded as one of the greatest of Mersal's career.
The pair next appeared in Perarasu's 2005 action flick ‘Thirupaachi’. Following that, they appeared in the 2006 action thriller film ‘Aathi’, directed by Ramana. They were eventually seen together in ‘Kuruvi’, directed by Dharani and released in 2008.
All about ‘Leo’:
‘Leo’ is the third film in Lokesh's Cinematic Universe, which also includes the 2019 film ‘Kaithi’ starring Karthi and the 2022 film ‘Vikram’ starring Kamal Haasan. Apart from the two principal actors, the film boasts an ensemble cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mathew Thomas, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and others.
