Maamanithan: Vijay Sethupathi’s long-delayed film is all set to release on May 6
Superstar Vijay Sethupathi’s fans are more than excited as the release date of his most-anticipated film has finally been announced in his recent tweet.
According to sources Vijay had finished the shooting long ago but the lawsuit filed against the producers by Jayaseelan who earlier registered the same title for his film delayed the release. However, in March 2021, Seenu Ramasamy tweeted that Yuvan Shankar Raja had acquired the title rights from Jayaseelan and further stated that the promotions will begin for the film under the title Maamanithan.
Maamanithan will mark the fourth project of Vijay and filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy as a team. The film will also mark the first time collaboration of Ilaiyaraaja and his sons Karthik Raja and Yuvan Shankar Raja working together on the music of this film.
Maamanithan caters to the family audience and attempts to spell out the struggles of a typical middle-class family man. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in the role of an auto driver in the outing and Gayathri Shankar will play his wife.
The Master actor has many projects in the pipeline but we are excited for Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas. The actor will be seen alongside Katrina Kaif and Sanjay Kapoor in the film and we can bet on its success.
