On November 9th, Malayalam actress Haritha G Nair, famed for her roles in soap operas such as ‘Shyamambaram’ and ‘Kasthooriman’, married her childhood friend Vinayak VS.

The wedding was a small affair, with just close friends and family invited. The pair got engaged in June of last year and chose to wait a year before getting married. Vinayak VS, the groom, is a well-known Malayalam film editor who has worked on films such as ‘Drishyam 2’ and ‘12th Man’.

Haritha and Vinayak’s Love Story:

In an interview with the press following her wedding, the actress stated that theirs was not a storybook love story. They had been friends since childhood and had no romantic sentiments for each other. She said that it was an arranged marriage and that the proposal was made by their families.

Vinayak and the actress were childhood friends, and he was her best buddy since eighth grade, according to the actress. Vinayak moved after his tenth grade to learn editing, but the two maintained in touch over the phone. They eventually became closer in terms of friendship but had no love feelings for one other. She further stated that when their families advised that they marry, Vinayak was the first to consent.

Vinayak VS works frequently with Jeethu Joseph. He edited Jeethu Joseph's last two films, ‘Drishyam 2’ and ‘12th Man’, and is the editor of his next film, ‘Neru’, which also stars Mohanlal and Priyamani. In addition, he will be working on the director's forthcoming film ‘Nunakkuzhi’ with Basil Joseph, as well as Ram with Mohanlal.
