The megastar of Malayalam cinema, Mammootty, is enjoying success in his acting career. In contrast, he has some unique and encouraging projects in the pipeline. He will again essay the famous character Bilal John Kurissinkal in the most-anticipated film, Bilal. Amal Neerad directs a sequel to the 2007-released neo-noir action thriller film Big B. Originally, it was announced in 2017. However, now the megastar Mammootty has dropped a major update on the much anticipated long-delayed film.
In a recent interview, Mammootty opens up about his film, Bilal, during the promotional event of his upcoming cop thriller Christopher. He informed viewers that the film's final round of script work was developing and confirmed that the Big B sequel is set to go on floors soon. Interestingly, Mammootty also revealed that on Monday, he was supposed to meet Amal Neerad for the discussions on Bilal. Still, both had to postpone the plans due to their busy schedules. Mammootty responds when asked about expecting an update on Bilal, saying 'Let's see' flashing a wide smile. It also hints that something exciting is on the cards.
Mammootty's starring film Christopher will hit theatres on Thursday, February 9. The film marks the second collaboration of Mammootty and director B Unnikrishnan. Recently The promo song of the film was officially launched at the grand event in Kochi. The stars Mammootty, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Dileesh Pothan, Shine Tom Chacko, and others attended the event. Vinay Rai, Dileesh Pothan, Siddique, Jinu Abraham, Vineeta Kosi, and others appear in the supporting roles.
