Megastar Rajinikanth to do a cameo in upcoming film Lal Salaam
Rajini is currently looking forward to the release of Jailer, which is being helmed by Nelson.

South megastar Rajinikanth will feature in a guest appearance in the upcoming film titled Lal Salaam. Helmed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the project stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles.
Confirming the same, Lyca Productions took to Twitter and announced: “’Lal Salaam’ to everyone out there! We are delighted to announce our next project, with the one and only Superstar Rajinikanth in a special appearance! To be directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. Music by A. R. Rahman.”
Not so long ago, it was reported that Rajinikanth has signed a two film deal with Lyca Productions. Therefore, there is speculation that Lal Salaam might be one of the two films in which he'd star.
On the work front, Rajini is looking forward to the release of his 169th film with director Nelson which was tentatively titled Thalaivar 169.
In June 2022, the official titled was announced as 'Jailer'. In the film, Rajinikanth will be playing an experienced jailer in the film.
Jailer is slated to hit the theatres in the early months of 2023.
